Van Dijk and Erling Haaland respond to Tijjani Reijnders’s message after deal agreed

Tijjani Reijnders posted a motivated message on social media that earned reactions from across the Premier League elite after officially completing his move to Man City.

Man City have already undergone a summer of change, with several new arrivals confirmed ahead of the Club World Cup.

Deals for Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki and Marcus Bettinelli have already been finalised, and Reijnders has now been added to the list.

Although Man City announced the signing of Reijnders after the Club World Cup registration deadline, they confirmed that the paperwork had been completed in time, making him eligible for the tournament.

He arrives following an impressive season with AC Milan, where he contributed 20 goals and assists across all competitions. At 26, he now links up with Pep Guardiola as part of City’s midfield reshuffle.

After the move was confirmed, the Dutch international shared a positive update with fans, underlining his excitement for the new chapter ahead.

Premier League stars react as Tijjani Reijnders joins Man City with Club World Cup message

After his transfer was officially confirmed, Reijnders posted a message for his new supporters on Instagram, writing: “Hey Cityzens, proud to now be part of the City family!

“Super excited for what’s ahead and ready to give everything for this club. The first challenge is already waiting: the Club World Cup. Time to get to work!”

His post drew plenty of reactions from fellow Dutch Premier League players, with Micky van de Ven and Justin Kluivert both replying with fire emojis.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk also showed support, along with City stars Erling Haaland and Nathan Ake, who liked the post.

Manchester City have held a long-term interest in Reijnders, and despite the midfielder signing a new contract earlier this year, a deal was eventually agreed for the highly rated Dutchman.

AC Milan’s failure to qualify for the Champions League after finishing eighth in Serie A played a key role, and with financial pressures mounting, a fee of around £46.5 million was agreed.

Man City set to finalise deal for Sverre Nypan

Arsenal
Sverre Nypan is set to join Man City.

Although the transfer window is temporarily paused due to the Club World Cup, with clubs unable to register new players, City appear to be pressing ahead with negotiations behind the scenes.

Reports suggest Man City are closing in on Norwegian starlet Sverre Nypan, with strong competition from several top European sides.

Football Insider previously reported that Arsenal were leading the race for Nypan in the January window, but no deal was struck, and City are now expected to secure his signature.

If completed, the teenager is likely to be sent out on loan, with Girona, who are part of the City Football Group, tipped as a potential destination for the talented midfielder.
