Liverpool eye Kevin De Bruyne in shock transfer approach
Despite a strong showing from their current midfield unit, the Reds appear to be targeting further reinforcements and reports suggest a sensational move could be on the cards.
According to reports, Kevin De Bruyne has already received a proposal from Liverpool following confirmation of his exit from Manchester City at the end of the season.
The Belgian playmaker is understood to be keen on staying in Europe, despite interest from MLS clubs, and is now seeking a new challenge after announcing his decision to leave City.
Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa are also interested in signing De Bruyne, although any deal could depend on whether the Premier League legend is willing to accept a reduced salary.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold set to depart Liverpool at the end of the season, the freed-up wages could pave the way for a marquee signing like De Bruyne – a player who, even in the latter stages of his career, would bring immense quality and experience to the side.
