Van Dijk responds to Kevin De Bruyne after huge Napoli transfer update
Kevin De Bruyne has caught the attention of Virgil Van Dijk on social media, after a massive update regarding the former Manchester City midfielder’s future.
De Bruyne departed City at the end of the season after an incredibly successful ten-year spell at the club, in which he won six Premier League titles.
The Belgian is not expected to feature for Pep Guardiola’s side at the revamped Club World Cup, despite his contract not running out until the end of June.
In the group stage of the competition, the Manchester side will face Wydad, Al Ain, and Juventus, as they attempt to progress to the knockout rounds.

De Bruyne close to Napoli move
Napoli hold a heavy interest in De Bruyne, and it is expected that the midfielder will complete the switch to Italy this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, negotiations between the club and the player are in their final stages, and official confirmation will be released in the coming days.
Amid the rumours, the 33-year-old jetted off on international duty, as Belgium’s World Cup qualifying campaign began.
The Red Devils drew 1-1 with North Macedonia, before beating Wales 4-3, with De Bruyne scoring an 88th-minute winner.
To celebrate the victory, the former Chelsea man shared a photo of himself celebrating the late goal, and Liverpool defender Van Dijk responded in the comments with the ‘praise-hands’ emoji.
De Bruyne still has more to give
Football Insider Verdict
After leaving City, De Bruyne could’ve taken an early retirement in Saudi Arabia, but the Belgium international clearly still has the desire to play at the top level in Europe.
Napoli have just won their second Serie A title in three years, and the midfielder is making the move to a fiercly competitive side.
De Bruyne will link up with international teammate Romelu Lukaku in Naples, as well as former Manchester United man Scott McTominay.

The City legend showed at times last season that he still has the quality, scoring four goals and picking up seven assists for Guardiola’s side in the Premier League.
Despite his age, there’s no doubt that De Bruyne will continue to perform for at least another couple of years.
