Man United fans are demanding that the club sign Viktor Gyokeres after what he did against Man City in the Champions League.

The 26-year-old destroyed Pep Guardiola’s side by scoring a hat-trick as Sporting CP came from behind to pick up a dominant 4-1 victory against the Premier League giants.

United supporters were left impressed by what they saw considering their new manager Ruben Amorim was in charge of Sporting as he showcased his coaching qualities.

Gyokeres also captured the attention of United fans as he caused City’s defence all manner of problems as he continued his impressive start to the season.

The Sweden international has scored 23 goals and provided four assists in 17 appearances across all competitions as he is thriving in front of goal.

United fans are now hoping that Amorim will be able to convince Gyokeres to join him at Old Trafford, especially since only two teams in the Premier League have scored fewer goals than them this season.

Football Insider revealed that the Premier League giants are “definitely” plotting a move to sign the Sporting CP striker, who Amorim himself originally signed to the Portuguese club.

That is a decision that United fans are fully supporting after his performance against their local rivals as they have told the club to “sign him up.”
