‘Viktor Gyokeres reveals whether he’ll join Arsenal or Man United’
Viktor Gyokeres has decided on his next destination amid transfer interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Sporting striker has established himself as one of the most prolific players in Europe, notching 54 goals in 52 appearances last season.
Arsenal need a new centre-forward to help them bridge the gap to Premier League champions Liverpool, whereas Man United are in desperate need of a rebuild after finishing just 15th last season.
Gyokeres previously shone in the English game when playing for Coventry City in the Championship before joining Sporting in 2023.

Gyokeres wants to join Arsenal
Amid their efforts to bolster their front line, Arsenal have been torn over Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, while Mikel Arteta will be determined to finally win the Premier League after finishing second for three successive seasons.
But Gyokeres has now paved a clear pathway for the North Londoners to capture his much sought-after signature.
According to talkSPORT [19 June], the Sporting striker has told his family and friends that he expects to join Arsenal.
The report adds that the Portuguese club are looking for around £80million for the 27-year-old, after Gyokeres fell out with Sporting after believing they had a gentleman’s agreement to sell him for a cut-price.

Gyokeres is exactly what Arteta needs
Football Insider verdict
Arsenal have largely made positive progress since Arteta was appointed as boss back in 2019, following an underwhelming managerial stint overseen by Unai Emery.
Viktor Gyokeres stats | All competitions 2024/25 |
Appearances | 52 |
Goals | 54 |
Assists | 12 |
But the Gunners have not tasted silverware since 2020, which is something the former midfielder must rectify as soon as possible.
There have even been claims that Arteta could be sacked if the North Londoners do not enjoy a positive start to next season, while the Premier League fixture list has not been kind to the Emirates Stadium club.
The Gunners face Manchester United, reigning champions Liverpool, and likely title challengers Manchester City within their first five games of next season.
Meanwhile, Arteta’s men have missed out on the Premier League title to both Liverpool and Man City in recent seasons, as the North West outfits boast prolific forwards Mo Salah and Erling Haaland, respectively.
Arsenal have lacked such a dangerous goal-scorer among their ranks, which is a gap that will be crucially plugged by Gyokeres, who will heavily enhance their title credentials.
