By Harvey Byrne

Virgil van Dijk has reminisced about his time at Celtic on Thursday afternoon, as he shared a video of himself scoring a spectacular free-kick against Hibernian for the Hoops.

The now 25-year-old spent two years at Celtic between 2013 and 2015 after joining from Dutch side Groningen for just £2.6million.

Despite playing at the back he still managed to return 15 goals and seven assists in 115 outings for the Glasgow giants and one of his standout strikes was the one against Hibernian.

Van Dijk is now currently starring for Southampton in the Premier League, but he showed that he remembered his time at Celtic fondly with an Instagram post on Thursday.

Celtic fans responded positively to the post from one of their former stars with many keen to point out that they missed him.
