Vitaly Janelt awful, Christian Norgaard superb – Brentford ratings v Bournemouth

Brentford had Christain Norgaard to thanks as his strike gave them all three points against Bournemouth.

A tidy pass from Antoine Semenyo slipped Milos Kerkez in behind the Brentford defence in the 17th minute, and his cross bounced off Vitaly Janelt and looped past a helpless Mark Flekken to give Bournemouth the lead.

The Bees answered back in the 30th minute, as Yoane Wissa rose highest to head past Kepa Arrizabalaga from a wonderful Bryan Mbeumo cross, levelling the scores.

Semenyo then rattled the bar just moments after the restart, heading onto the crossbar from a delightful cross by Justin Kluivert.

Christian Norgaard then gave Brentford the win, lashing home to give his side the win in the 71st minute.

The result moves Brentford up to 11th, just three points behind their opponents who currently sit ninth.

Thomas Frank watches his Brentford side seal key win

Mark Flekken – 7

Four big saves from the Dutchman kept his side in the game.

Kristoffer Ajer (off for Van den Berg 72′) – 6

Beaten by Milos Kerkez for the opener, but defended well for the rest of the game.

Nathan Collins – 8

Collins was fortunate to not be sent off against Aston Villa in their previous game, defended excellently, giving Evanilson little to work with.

Ethan Pinnock – 7

A confident performance from the Jamaican defender, making 13 clearances.

Keane Lewis-Potter – 7

Unfortunate not to be called up to the England squad, and performed well again for his side.

Bryan Mbeumo shows quality against Bournemouth

Christian Norgaard – 9 – Player-of-the-Match

Everton are readying an offer for Norgaard,

Vitaly Janelt (off for Yarmolyuk 72′) – 4

Made a mess of stopping Kerkez’s cross, as the ball bounced off his back and into the back of the net to give Bournemouth the lead as part of a sloppy outing.

Bryan Mbeumo – 8

Newcastle are prepared to meet the asking price for Mbeumo, the Cameroon international was the best player on the pitch, not named Christian Norgaard.

Mikkel Damsgaard (off for Konak 85′) – 7

Moved the ball around tidily, his Brentford career has been completely turned around this season, following a miserable first two seasons.

Kevin Schade (off for Mee 85′) – 5

Feels like Brentford’s least consistent player this year, fantastic when he is on it, invisible when not.
