Vitor Pereira has ‘broken the golden rule’ at Wolves after Sky reveal
Vitor Pereira is facing ongoing questions surrounding his position as Wolves manager with frustrations starting to boil over at Molineux.
Wolves lost 3-2 to Burnley at home on 26 October, leaving them stranded rock bottom of the Premier League table and without a win from nine games.
There is now a six-point gap between Pereira‘s side and Fulham, who occupy 17th place and are building a gap outside of the relegation zone.
As a result, Football Insider exclusively revealed on 26 October that Wolves’ ownership are assessing Pereira’s position after a Chinese delegation jetted in for the game.
Sources say the Chinese delegation at Molineux totalled around 11 people, with the owners noting the furious reaction from the supporters to Wolves’ performance.

Vitor Pereira faces sack calls after hitting out at Wolves fans
Following the defeat against Burnley, Pereira hit out at the Wolves fans as he ranted: “Two months ago they sang my name, because together with the work we did last season… Now they sing my name to sack me.” [via Sky Sports]
However, by hitting out at his own supporters, the boss has “broken the golden rule” and will struggle to win back favour among those criticising him.
That is according to former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Pereira is making things more difficult for himself amid ongoing sack pressure.
“The manager at Wolves is in a very difficult position now,” he told Football Insider.
“I always say, there are two golden rules in football, one of them is you don’t criticise your players publicly, and the other is you don’t criticise the fans.
“So him coming out after the game, complaining about the fans turning on him, he’s broken the golden rule and that’s one way to alienate the supporters.
“They’re well within their rights to express their frustrations, Wolves are bottom of the league and haven’t won a game, of course they’re not going to be happy.
“It should be up to the manager to turn these things around, and that’s not happening, so he can’t complain when the fans start to turn against him.
“By doing that, it makes it all the more difficult to get them back on side, and that’s going to be a blow because they need their support to help turn things around.”
While there have been suggestions Wolves plan to stick with Pereira, his task is becoming increasingly difficult with each passing game.
Pereira given three more games to save his job at Wolves
Football Insider revealed on 25 October that Pereira has four games to save his job at Wolves with crucial fixtures in the battle for relegation now queuing up.
The defeat against Burnley has already piled on the pressure, and is seen as the first domino towards his eventual dismissal from his position at Molineux.
A League Cup clash with Chelsea is up next, before another relegation six-pointer against Fulham, and lastly a league visit to Stamford Bridge.

Wolves have been keen to stick with the current boss after their show of confidence by handing him a new contract, but are now demanding a turnaround in their form.
Despite having recently signed a new deal, Wolves are not concerned about paying Pereira compensation if they decide to pull the trigger, leaving the door open to his dismissal.
