Vitor Pereira sack latest: Jeff Shi update emerges as Wolves respond to mutinous fans
Wolves face a massive decision over whether they keep their faith in Vitor Pereira or go looking for a new manager.
Football Insider exclusively revealed that an 11-strong delegation of the Chinese ownership were at Molineux on Sunday for the 3-2 defeat against Burnley with the future of Pereira at Wolves a key discussion point.
Pereira clashed with Wolves fans after the full-time whistle as tensions grow at the club with their Premier League status already looking fragile.
Wolves are already six points from safety having not won a match this season, with a crucial clash against 17th placed Fulham up next.

Vitor Pereira could be safe from the sack despite Burnley defeat
Pereira was appointed Wolves manager last December after Gary O’Neil had suffered from a similarly terrible start to the campaign.
O’Neil was sacked after 16 games, with Wolves four points from safety, a situation Pereira was able to turn around.
According to BBC Sport, [26 October] Pereira’s job “is not in immediate danger.”
“[Jeff] Shi and those in charge still feel his experience will be crucial in the survival battle, having taken them from second bottom to safety last season,” BBC Sport reported.
“Although, predecessor O’Neil signed a four-year deal on the eve of last season and only lasted another four months.
“Domenico Teti’s arrival as director of professional football in the summer is also a sign of the position of strength Pereira held at the end of last season, the pair having worked together in Saudi Arabia at Al-Shabab.
“There is a hesitancy to change given the amount of managers the club have gone through recently and fan reaction will not sway Shi.”
Pereira under huge pressure at Wolves
Fans frustrations, and having not yet recorded a Premier League win, mean Pereira faces an uphill battle if he remains in his post at Molineux.
With Jorgen Strand Larsen, who scored from the penalty spot against Burnley, Wolves do have a reliable goal scorer.
| Goals per match | 0.8 |
| Expected Goals [xG] | 9.2 |
| Goals Conceded per match | 2.1 |
| xG Conceded | 11.6 |
Defensively is where the main issues lie for Pereira, with 19 goals conceded in nine games, which is the second worse record in the league.
Even for a new manager coming into the club now, it is tough to make a claim for Wolves to stay up.
