Vitor Pereira to Leicester City odds slashed after shock development
Leicester City are on the hunt for a new manager after Marti Cifuentes was sacked by the Foxes.
Despite being one of the favourites for promotion this season, the East Midlands side have heavily struggled, and currently sit 14th, six points off the playoffs.
As a result, Cifunetes’ position was untenable, and Leicester are now searching for someone to get them back into the playoff race.
While Chris Coleman was an early favourite to take over at the King Power Stadium, Vitor Pereira is emerging as a big favourite for the role.
Vitor Pereria just 5/1 for Leicester City job
Pereira has been out of work since he was sacked by Wolves in November 2025.
Despite guiding the Molineux side to survival in the Premier League last season, a terrible start to the current campaign saw him without a league win, which resulted in his dismissal.
With Wolves basically guaranteed to be relegated this season, Pereira has been slammed for his role in this.
Many of their signings since he took control have been terrible, with the Old Gold side already sending many of them away on loan.
Nevertheless, his brilliance at the end of the 2024-25 campaign has clearly not been forgotten, with Leicester eyeing the Portuguese coach.

According to a report from the Express and Star on 28 January, Pereira is being considered for the role at the Foxes.
As a result, the manager is now just 5/1 to take the job, making him the third favourite.
Oddschecker on 28 January have confirmed that Pereira’s odds have been slashed for the role.
Who else is in the running for the Leicester job?
As it stands, Coleman remains the favourite for the job, with the former Wales National Team manager having 2/1 odds to come in.
His last job in the UK was at Sunderland in 2018, and he has since been at multiple clubs from all over the world.
Gary Rowett is also considered a favourite for the role. The former Oxford United manager is 4/1 to take over after losing his job earlier this campaign.
Potential outsiders include Russell Martin and Michael Skubala, who are both at 8/1 odds.
The latter manager is currently at League One side Lincoln City, who are on course for promotion to the Championship.
