Wan-Bissaka may be demoted by Rangnick as Man United video emerges – pundit
Danny Mills has suggested Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be frozen out under Ralf Rangnick at Man United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England defender insisted Wan-Bissaka will struggle to break back into the starting XI when he returns from injury as Rangnick will not pick players on reputation alone.
The right-back earned his first start of the Rangnick era in the 1-1 draw with Young Boys on Wednesday (8 December).
However, he was seen in a video posted by BeINSport’s Matt Critchley
being stretchered off at the end of the game.
Rangnick told BT Sport after the game Wan-Bissaka has a knock on his knee and wrist so he may be a doubt for Saturday’s game against Norwich.
Asked if there was a danger the 24-year-old could be left behind by the new manager, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Definitely.
“Rangnick is not going to pick players on reputation, that’s for sure.
“He will look at it and say ‘Right, OK, who’s performing? Who’s working hardest? Who can I rely on?
“I think he will be like a lot of those types of managers where reputation and age is irrelevant. If you do well for him, if you do the job that’s being asked of you, without a doubt, he’s going to pick you.
“One person’s injury is another person’s opportunity. That’s the way it’s always been in football. It will probably be always like that. It’s up to that person to get that opportunity and take it.”

Diogo Dalot started Rangnick’s first game in charge – the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace earlier this month.
The 22-year-old has now featured nine times in all competitions this term, including starts in the last two Premier League games.
In other news, Real Madrid are plotting a sensational January move to sign a Man United star.
