Wayne Rooney, Grealish react to ‘amazing’ message from Man United’s Harry Maguire
Man United legend Wayne Rooney and Man City star Jack Grealish reacted to a message from Harry Maguire.
The 32-year-old has been the source of ridicule for much of his career in Manchester, but after a difficult first few years with the club, the ex-Leicester man is rebuilding his reputation.
Not only have Maguire’s performances improved in recent seasons, but the defender has developed a knack for scoring important goals for his side.
The England international scored the winner as United knocked Lyon out of the Europa League in April, on their way to an eventual defeat at the hands of Tottenham in the final.
Maguire was a participant in the Red Devils’ post-season tour of Asia that was largely overshadowed by a loss to the ASEAN All-Stars and Alejandro Garnacho’s controversial pose when taking photos with fans.

Man United to offer Harry Maguire new contract
Football Insider Verdict
Former Red Devils chief scout Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider United are planning to offer Maguire a new contract.
Following Ruben Amorim’s arrival at Old Trafford, the 32-year-old has established himself as a key part of the Portuguese boss’ set up.
Maguire gained experience playing in a back three during his time with England, and his natural leadership skills and ability to marshal a back line have made him indispensable for his manager.
The ex-Leicester man featured 27 times for United last season, with the majority of those appearances coming after Amorim’s arrival.
With Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, and the emerging Ayden Heaven, the Red Devils have the making of a strong backline in place for next season.
