‘Welcome to Wolves’ – Fans name the potential next manager after confirmed news

Wolves have finally sacked Vitor Pereira due to their disastrous start to the Premier League after months of pressure from the supporters.

Fulham beat Pereira’s side 3-0 at Craven Cottage, putting the final nail in the manager’s coffin with fans and players left frustrated by recent performances and results.

That is despite Wolves having handed Pereira a three-year contract in September in what appeared to be a commitment to a long-term future with him at the helm.

Instead, Football Insider exclusively revealed on 31 October that Wolves have plans in place for Pereira’s replacement, with a “cheaper” option likely after their significant payout.

There is a belief that they will target an out-of-work boss to come in immediately, rather than being made to pay compensation to release somebody of their contract.

Wolves next manager: Brendan Rodgers, Sergio Conceicao, Erik Ten Hag

A number of contenders have already emerged in contention for the role, with standout names including Brendan Rodgers, Sergio Conceicao and Erik ten Hag linked.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 28 October that Rodgers is keen on a Premier League job after leaving Celtic, with this likely to be his first opportunity.

However, Rodgers is uncertain about joining Wolves given the situation they find themselves in at the bottom of the Premier League table with no wins from 10 games.

Ten Hag is also out of work, having left Bayer Leverkusen after just three games in charge earlier this season, with a return to England on the cards.

Conceicao, meanwhile, would be the favourite of many Wolves supporters, but would also require a hefty compensation fee to release him from his Al-Ittihad contract.

Wolves fans tip Conceicao and Rodgers as favourites

Rodgers and Ten Hag are the favourites amongst bookmakers, but the likes of Conceicao and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer are also being heavily tipped for the role.

Wolves are now scrambling to appoint a new boss as they scrap for survival, with the upcoming international break likely to see some progress made.

Taking to social media, supporters have insisted upon who they believed should take the reins, with Conceicao, Rodgers and Ten Hag the clear favourites for the fans.
