Wenger issues brutal response when talking about power shift in NL ahead of Tottenham clash

Arsene Wenger has stated that Tottenham finishing above Arsenal in one season does not have the same weight of his team finishing above them over a 20-year period.
The Frenchman delivered the brutal response when asked about a possible power shift in north London ahead of the derby at the weekend.
Spurs are on course to finish above their rivals for the first time since Wenger took charge of the club over 20 years ago.
His team have had a poor season which has resulted in fans calling for him to step down from his role with his contract due to expire in the summer.
By contrast, Tottenham are chasing the title as they are currently four points behind leaders Chelsea in the table.

This is what Wenger had to say when asked about a possible power shift in north London ahead of the weekend match.
“Let’s be honest, I answered that question of shift eighteen consecutive years. You cannot say that the weight of one year has the weight of 20,” Wenger told his Friday press conference, which was aired on Sky Sports News on Friday morning.
At this moment in time, Mauricio Pochettino’s team are 14 points ahead of their rivals, who are sitting outside of the top four places.
The Gunners can still win a trophy and end their rivals’ chances of catching Chelsea in the table with five matches of the season to play.
Wenger’s side are in the final of the FA Cup and if they pick up three points at White Hart Lane on Sunday then they could all but end Spurs’ hopes of winning the PL title.
