Wesley Fofana mocks Tottenham in new message to Cole Palmer
Wesley Fofana has taken to social media to send a message to teammate Cole Palmer mocking Tottenham after Chelsea’s 4-3 win over them on Sunday (December 8).
Palmer, 22, scored two penalties as Chelsea closed the gap on league leaders Liverpool to four points after the Merseyside derby was canceled due to bad weather.
The attacking midfielder has managed to carry his remarkable form from last season into this campaign, starting 15 of his 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring 11 goals, and providing six assists in 1350 minutes of action.
Enzo Maresca’s side have won four of their last five Premier League games, scoring 15 goals as they prepare for a visit from Brentford on Sunday (December 15).
Fofana, 23, was forced off in Chelsea’s 3-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa earlier in the season after picking up a hamstring injury.

The centre-back has made a sensational return under Maresca after missing all of last season through injury, starting all 12 of Chelsea’s Premier League games, yielding 1017 minutes of game time.
The Frenchman was clearly impressed with his teammate, taking to Instagram to celebrate Palmer’s Panenka penalty that secured the win for the visitors, saying: “It’s too cold in Tottenham.”

Maresca admitted Fofana is set to be out for “three, four or five weeks,” missing a total of 12 games throughout the festive period.
Chelsea will travel to Kazakhstan on Thursday (December 12) as they face FC Astana in their fifth Europa Conference League game.
