West Brom tipped to axe forward and start Robinson after early team news - Campbell

Kevin Campbell has tipped Callum Robinson to come back into the West Brom starting XI against Cardiff City tonight.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Albion and Arsenal striker expects the 26-year-old to be rewarded with a start after making “a big difference” from the bench against QPR.

Robinson proved to be the game-changer at The Hawthorns on Friday.

The Republic of Ireland international entered the field with just over half an hour to play and assisted both of Karlan Grant’s goals.

Valerien Ismael’s side climbed up to second after the 2-1 win and have the chance to go top tonight if the win away at Cardiff.

As quoted by Birmingham Live (27th September), Ismael reveal he has no fresh injury concerns, while Matty Clarke, Rayhaan Tulloch and Kenneth Zohore are back in training.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on team selection, Campbell said: “I think Callum Robinson comes back in, I really do.

“I watched the game against QPR the other and he made a big difference when he came on.

“QPR were good value at 1-0. They were really good and West Brom were quite bitty.

“They needed a bit of fortune which came when the keeper fumbled Grant’s first into the net. You don’t care if you’re West Brom though. You just want to get over the line and that goal changed the game.

“Robinson comes back in tonight for me because he’s one of their best players for me.”
