West Ham aces react to heartfelt message from Emerson ahead of potential exit

West Ham stars have reacted to a touching message from Emerson Palmieri with the Brazilian potentially heading for the exit this summer.

The Hammers’ 14th-placed finish in the Premier League last season belies just how poor the East London side actually were.

Graham Potter‘s arrival was meant to herald a fresh start, as West Ham tries for the third time to establish itself without David Moyes at the helm.

But instead, it was more of the same dismal and disappointing football, but without the results the now-Everton manager had consistently achieved.

However, West Ham are keeping faith in Potter, seemingly against better judgment, and are preparing to back the former Chelsea boss in the summer transfer window.

West Ham have been linked with a move for former Fulham man Aleksandar Mitrovic, and there will likely be plenty of new names at the London Stadium by the time the 2025/26 season officially starts.

Emerson Palmieri shares message with West Ham fans

Following a disappointing season, Emerson shared a montage of his best moments from the season, captioned: “Not the season any of us wanted, but always proud to wear the West Ham shirt and fight alongside this team.

“Every year brings lessons — we take them on and keep moving forward. Massive thanks to all of you who stayed with us through it all. Time to rest and come back stronger!”

The post was then liked by West Ham players Luis Guilherme and George Earthy.

Ollie Scarles emergence makes Emerson Palmieri surplus to requirements at West Ham

Football Insider Verdict

According to The Times, West Ham are expecting to receive offers for Emerson this summer.

Six months ago, any approach likely would have been immediately rebuffed, as the Brazilian has proven himself to be a useful, if unspectacular, starter at left-back.

But thanks to the emergence of Ollie Scarles, West Ham have a young star who could do with a clear pathway to regular first-team minutes.

The 19-year-old has smoothly adapted to the rigours and demands the Premier League has to offer in his 15 appearances last season.

Tidy on the ball and a strong defender, Scarles looks ready to be West Ham‘s starter for years to come in defence.
