West Ham and Fulham transfers: Top source shares big James McAtee update
Man City star James McAtee wants to play regular football amid interest from Celtic, West Ham and Fulham, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old has struggled to break through at City despite their poor form in the 2024-25 campaign so far.
McAtee played 24 minutes in the win over Leicester on Sunday (29 December) – his biggest involvement in the Premier League this term.
He has made nine appearances across all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side in the 2024-25 campaign, scoring once.
It is believed a move within the Premier League will be the attacking midfielder’s first priority if City open the door to letting him go out on loan.
McAtee wants regular football amid West Ham and Fulham interest
That is a major boost for West Ham, Fulham and Crystal Palace – who are all ready to take the England Under-21 ace if a move is green-lit by Guardiola’s side, who are likely to be active in January.
McAtee has already tasted regular football in the Premier League after making 30 top-flight appearances on loan with Sheffield United last term, notching three goals and three assists.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (30 December) that Celtic will find it tough to compete with clubs south of the border despite being able to offer Champions League football.

McAtee’s contract at the Etihad Stadium is set to run until June 2026.
He has scored six goals in 16 caps for England’s Under-21 side and hit 14 goals in 75 appearances across two loan spells with Sheffield United.
