Kenny slams behind-the-scenes figure at West Ham as Moyes fury revealed
Results at West Ham could begin to nosedive if the groundsman is unable to improve the quality of the pitch at the London Stadium.
So says ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Irons’ 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on 28 August.
The home side twice led through Pablo Fornals and Michail Antonio but were pegged back both times by goals from Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher.

Speaking after the match, Hammers boss David Moyes complained about the quality of the “dry” turf at their home stadium.
“The pitch at the London Stadium is really, really poor” and “below Premier League standard,” the 58-year-old told Sky Sports.
Those who tend the pitch need to up their game or risk contributing to a slide in results, Kenny claims.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “If the pitch is really dry, it’s down to groundsman to get it moist and sort it out.
“If that’s what Moyes wants, that’s what should be happening. Whether they have limits in terms of how much water they can put on it, I don’t know.
“For me, the groundsman should be sorting the pitch before the game, at half-time, and the day after the game.

“At the end of the day, it’s a problem that could be easily sorted out. It’s a really important job being a groundsman nowadays.
“It’s something they need to solve soon because it can have a big effect on the performances, the players, and the results.”
