Lanzini axed in Bilic 4-2-3-1: West Ham best possible XI to face Liverpool

By Emma Sanders

Andy Carroll, Aaron Cresswell, Alvaro Arbeloa and Michail Antonio should all start against Liverpool on Sunday in the Premier League clash at Anfield.

Ashley Fletcher, Arthur Masuaku, Manuel Lanzini and the injured James Collins should be the players to make way.

Slaven Bilic will be forced to make a number of changes for the clash against Jurgen Klopp’s high-flying Liverpool side due to injuries but he has confirmed Antonio and Cresswell are available so they should start.

The duo should line up out wide in a five-man midfield which could combat Liverpool’s extensive attacking threat but will still provide the Hammers with an outlet when going forward.

Carroll made his mark on his return as a substitute against Arsenal, scoring in the 5-1 defeat last Saturday and he should definitely start up front against his former club.

He will be the anchor man and should be supported by Dimitri Payet in an advanced midfield role, ahead of Mark Noble and Pedro Obiang in the centre of midfield.

Arbeloa is the obvious choice to replace Collins, who went off injured in the clash against the Gunners and Edmilson Fernandes should retain his place at left-back too.

The centre-back pairing of Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna should also start and Darren Randolph is definitely the preffered choice in between the sticks.

In other West Ham news, these three January signings could help move the club back into the top 10.
