Moyes tipped to hand out two debuts v Dinamo Zagreb after early West Ham team news - McLeish
David Moyes may well hand Alphonse Areola and Kurt Zouma their West Ham debuts against Dinamo Zagreb.
So says ex-Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider ahead of tomorrow evening’s Europa League Group H clash.
Centre-half Zouma and shot-stopper Areola signed from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain respectively in the summer transfer window.
Both players were unused substitutes for last Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Southampton.
The pair were included in the Hammers’ preliminary Europa League squad, as detailed by football.london on 7 September.
And Football Insider revealed two days later that Moyes plans to phase Areola into the first XI over the coming weeks.

McLeish claims that the Irons boss could hand both players their first appearances in the Croatian capital.
“It’s very possible that he’ll hand those debuts out,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“Some might look at it and say David Moyes might want to keep the consistency, the nucleus of the team.
“But I’m sure the fact that these players are listed in the dedicated squad for Europe, you’d assume that they would be set for playing time.
“The recruitment there has been great under David Moyes. They have signed some excellent players.
“There has been great work done by Moyes’ internal staff. That is what any coach needs, good recruitment.”
Zouma’s only football this season came in Chelsea’s Uefa Super Cup victory over Villareal in early August.
Areola meanwhile has not crossed the white line since his loan spell with Fulham last term.
