West Ham braced for last-gasp Emerson offer – sources

West Ham defender Emerson is wanted by Galatasaray with the Turkish transfer window set to close on Friday (September 13).

The Super Lig champions have turned their attention to the 30-year-old after failing in their attempts to sign Aston Villa’s Lucas Digne.

The Italian left-back is under contract at West Ham until June 2026, with the option to extend another year should the club wish to.

Sources have told Football Insider that Galatasaray could test West Ham’s resolve to keep Emerson with a formal bid in the next 48 hours.

Emerson has started all three of West Ham’s opening Premier League games under new manager Julen Lopetegui, implying they want to keep the defender.
