West Ham conclude striker talks, last-minute decision to be made - Sky Sports

West Ham have concluded talks with Diafra Sakho about his future at the club, according to a report.
Sky Sports claimed in their live transfer blog on Thursday [08:46pm] that Sakho, 27, wants to quit the London Stadium with what is now less than two hours left until the summer transfer window slams shut at 11pm.
The Senegalese striker is understood to have travelled to France to undergo a medical with Ligue 1 side Rennes but the West Ham owners have since made it clear that he wasn’t going to be sold.
That led Sakho to confess that he wanted to quit the east London club, which has now been reported to have been down to “personal problems which have nothing to do with football” according to Sky Sports.
West Ham are now set to make a last-minute decision on whether or not the ex-Metz forward will be sold, but there is now just moments left before the cut-off is reached and it doesn’t appear that a replacement has been lined up.

The report adds that talks are “ongoing” about Sakho’s future with phone calls now being made.
Football Insider Verdict
West Ham have to let Sakho go. It’s bad enough having a player around who is so prone to injury, but add to that someone who doesn’t want to be there and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. West Ham’s handling of this has also been shambolic. Slaven Bilic is already under a lot of pressure, as are the board, to improve on a awful start to the season. Their inability to sign William Carvalho means their defence hasn’t been improved on since the campaign start and now that Sakho wants to go they could be left with just two traditional strikers until at least January. What a terrible day for the Irons.
In other West Ham news, Trevor Sinclair has urged the Irons to pull of this last minute coup.
