West Ham United are plotting a move for Bologna defender Adam Masina during the January transfer window, according to a report.
Sky Sports journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, sent out the news via his Twitter feed of the Irons interest in the Serie A left-back.

The 24-year-old Moroccan has been in fine form for his side this season and featured 18 times for the Italian club, who are just six points off the European spots.
Masina would face strong competition from Aaron Cresswell for the left-back position and would become the Irons first addition in the transfer window should Moyes get his hand on the defender.
Football Insider verdict:
David Moyes needs to improve his options at the back and tighten up a defence that has already conceded 41 goals in the Premier League – the third worst in the top flight. Signings are needed, especially at the rear, but whether Masina is the answer is debatable. The defender would struggle to come to terms with the speed and physicality of the English league compared with the slower tempo he is used to in Italy. The Hammers sit five points above the relegation zone – not quite enough space for them to relax but if they can reinforce at the back, it will not be long before they are safe for another season.
