West Ham fans already name Nuno’s replacement – ‘Least we’d show fight’

Nuno Espirito Santo’s position at West Ham looks untenable after a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Wolves on Saturday.

The Hammers have been woeful for weeks, with the former Nottingham Forest manager seemingly incapable of picking up a victory.

Now, after losing to a side that hadn’t won a Premier League match all season, West Ham fans have turned on Nuno.

If the manager is given the boot, plenty of supporters have indicated that they want Slaven Bilic back in the dugout, even if it means relegation.

West Ham fans dream of a Slaven Bilic return

Bilic oversaw a memorable spell at West Ham between 2015 and 2017.

Here, the manager guided the Hammers to Europe and had them fighting towards the top half of the table for the majority of his reign.

Bilic has been strongly linked to West Ham if Nuno were to be sacked as the 57-year-old looks to return to the dugout for the first time since 2024.

Now, it appears that the Hammers fans are all for it, believing that the coach will be able to instil some fight back into the players.

Many fan believes that Nuno is now simply incapable of turning the situation around labelling the former Tottenham manager as “disinterested”.

Bilic’s reign at West Ham in numbers

Bilic’s reign at West Ham was no doubt successful.

The manager won 42 of his 111 matches in charge, giving him a 37.84 per cent win rate.

His first campaign saw West Ham finish seventh, qualifying for Europe, with the Hammers being in the hunt for Champions League football for most of the season.

While Bilic oversaw a tumble in the table in the 2016-17 campaign, he was only one point off eighth as the Hammers ended the season in 11th.

In the end, Bilic left the London Stadium with a 1.33 points per game rate in the Premier League, an outstanding feat in what was a great few years at the East London club.

Hopefully, if he is brought back, he is able to perform the same miracles to ensure the Hammers avoid the drop into the second tier.
