West Ham fans beg Lopetegui to make big change after what they saw vs Luton Town

West Ham fans on social media have begged Julen Lopetegui to strip Kurt Zouma of captaincy or sell him this summer.

The Hammers secured a 3-1 win against Luton Town on Saturday afternoon (11 May) but fans were underwhelmed by their side’s performance.

Luton started brightly and took a one-goal lead into half-time after Albert Sambi Lokonga’s goal in the first six minutes.

The West Ham players were met with boos as they entered their dressing room, but David Moyes’ side overturned the deficit in the second half with goals from James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and George Earthy.

The match was watched by Julen Lopetegui, who is set to replace Moyes as West Ham manager at the end of the season.

The Londoners announced on Monday (6 May) that they are parting ways with Moyes at the end of the season despite the Scotsman leading the club to European glory last season.

After Lopetegui was pictured in the stands, fans on social media have begged their soon-to-be manager to strip Kurt Zouma of captaincy or sell the French defender in the summer.

West Ham climbed up to ninth in the Premier League table after the win but are unlikely to compete for European qualification with only one league game remaining this season.

Moyes will take control of his final match as Hammers boss on Sunday (19 May) when they face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
