'Stuff of nightmares', 'Shocking' - West Ham fans destroy senior player for display v Wigan

West Ham fans have destroyed Aaron Cresswell on Twitter for his performance at the DW Stadium on Saturday in the 2-0 defeat to Wigan in the FA Cup Fourth Round.
Cresswell, 28, has been widely criticised for his recent outings for the Hammers and it appears that things failed to improve for the three-times England international against the League One leaders this weekend.
David Moyes’ side fell behind in the seventh minute when Will Grigg put Wigan ahead.
Arthur Masuaku was sent off in the second half for an alleged off-the-ball incident before Grigg doubled his and his side’s tally to book their spot in the next round of the FA Cup, knocking out the Hammers.
West Ham were really not impressed with Cresswell though, with one fan saying the senior player’s performance was the “stuff of nightmares”.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

Cresswell has made 25 appearances in all competitions for West Ham this season, supplying four assists in the process.
He is clearly a mainstay of Moyes’ first-team plans but he has recently been shifted into a more central role in back three.
That change of system does not appear to be well suited to the former Ipswich left-back, who is far more useful when bombing forward in attack rather than staying back.
In other West Ham news, this French forward wanted by the Irons has completed a £9.6million switch.
