'Some sort of joke' - West Ham fans rage as highly-rated duo leaves
By Danny Wright
West Ham fans have vented their anger on Twitter after it was confirmed on Tuesday that Josh Cullen and Reece Burke had joined Bolton on loan.
The Trotters announced on their official website that the two Hammers youngsters had moved to the Macron Stadium on short-term loan deals which will expire in January.
Both of the Irons players were highly rated by the supporters, with many of them believing that they were on the cusp of breaking into the senior squad next season.
Burke, 20, spent last term on loan with Wigan in the Championship, so will head to Bolton with some good experience of suffering a relegation battle in the second-tier.
Cullen, 21, was with Bradford on a temporary basis last term, scoring one goal in 46 appearances across all competitions.

Both of the players have worked with Bolton boss Phil Parkinson in the past from their separate loan stints at Bradford.
However that has offered little comfort to the majority of the West Ham supporters, who are very proud of the players that break through their academy.
Although Cullen and Burke are both at Bolton on short-term deals, that has offered no consolation to a raging set of Hammers supporters.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
