West Ham fans react on Twitter to Payet display against Man United
By Amir Mir
Dimitri Payet was substituted in the second half as West Ham were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United at the London Stadium – and fans on Twitter urged the club to sell their star player.
The Hammers were down to ten men in the opening 15 minutes when referee Mike Dean brandished a controversial red card to Sofiane Feghouli for a tackle on Phil Jones.
Despite being at a disadvantage numerically the home side fought well to go into the half-time break goalless.
Slaven Bilic’s side continued to probe after the interval with Michail Antonio missing a guilt-edge opportunity when one on one with the goalkeeper.
They were punished moments later when Juan Mata fired home before Zlatan Ibrahimovic doubled his side’s lead 12 minutes from time, but replays showed the Swede was offside.

Payet was taken off after 69 minutes for striker Andy Carroll with many fans believing he looks disinterested.
The Hammers faithful stated that he produced another dreadful display as they urged the club to sell the Frenchman.

Shocking from Mike Dean. Payet continuing to look totally uninterested. If someone offers big bucks we should take it.

Also running out of patience with Payet. He was dreadful yet again.

Payet won plaudits last season for his match-winning performances for the club which saw them finish in a European place.
However, he has not been able to replicate those performances this term as his side have struggled for consistency and form on the pitch.
The former Marseille player has played 18 Premier League games so far during this campaign, scoring two goals and supplying seven assists for his team.
