West Ham fans react on Twitter to Zaza display v Manchester United
By Dominic Toner
Simone Zaza made a late cameo against Manchester United on Wednesday night – and West Ham fans were furious with his performance on Twitter.
The 25-year-old was introduced in the 76th minute with the Hammers already two goals down in the EFL Cup quarter-final.
West Ham lost the game 4-1 at Old Trafford, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Martial scoring a brace each to secure their place in the semi-finals of the competition.
Zaza managed to have a negative impact on the game in the second-half as he misfired a shot that went flying out of play for a throw-in.
The striker also missed a great opportunity from a corner and saw his tame header go wide of the goal.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Zaza has now made 11 appearances for West Ham in all competitions and is still without a goal or an assist.
The forward moved to the Hammers in the summer on loan from Italian giants Juventus and is yet to showcase his qualities in England.
Slaven Bilic’s side have struggled in front of goal all season and his form has been matched by team-mate Jonathan Calleri.
Zaza was expected to add some extra firepower to the West Ham attack and his struggles have not gone down well with the club’s supporters.
The Italy international is well recognised for his comical penalty miss in Euro 2016 and is not being helped by his spell in England.
In other West Ham news, Phil Neville has delivered a two-word verdict on the player’s horror tackle.
