West Ham fans react on Twitter to Snodgrass display v Chelsea
By Harvey Byrne
West Ham fans on Twitter have ripped into January signing Robert Snodgrass on Monday evening after a poor display against Chelsea.
The 29-year-old played the full 90 minutes on the left side of an attacking midfield three as the Hammers fell to a 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium to their close rivals.
It was a night to forget for a number of West Ham players and Snodgrass seemed to be the main target for fans to air their dismay at as a number were less than complimentary about his performance.
Large portions of the Hammers fan base on social media were claiming that they didn’t rate the former Hull star, while one compared him to past flop Matt Jarvis.
Dimitri Payet’s name also came up on occasion, the man who’s boots Snodgrass was supposed to fill in the winter.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Snodgrass has to be dropped. Ayew has a goal and an assist off the bench in his last two games. Deserves to start at Bournemouth.

Snodgrass has played in five matches for West Ham since joining, but he hasn’t returned a goal or an assist in any of his outings.
Fans will have certainly been expecting more from the attacker and with the next match coming against a struggling Bournemouth supporters will be looking for an improvement if he does play.
