West Ham fans react on Twitter to shattering Ayew injury blow
By Amir Mir
West Ham fans were left reeling after it was reported that Andre Ayew will face up to four months of action on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
Sky Sports announced on their official Twitter account that Ayew will be out of action until the end of the year.
The versatile attacker signed for Slaven Bilic’s side for a club-record £20.5million from Premier League rivals Swansea in the hope he can solve their striker problems.
But half an hour into the Hammers opening Premier League clash against Chelsea on Monday, the 26-year-old was forced off injured, and it is now being reported that he will be out until the end of the year.
Supporters were left devastated by the news, as they had only recently purchased the Ghanaian forward, with some fans believing that the club is cursed.

The Londoners have been in hot pursuit of a striker this summer, but with Ayew now out injured for a large period of time, supporters felt that they may need to dip into the transfer market once again for a forward.
However, some fans did install faith in new signing Jonathan Calleri, with the 22-year-old striker signing a season long loan from Uruguayan side Deportivo Maldonado on Tuesday.
Here are the Hammers supporters reacting to Ayew’s injury.

Gutted for Andre Ayew ????

So upset about Ayew. The curse of record signings continues. Need Payet, Lanzini, Antonio as the 3 behind Carroll. Best XI same as last year

Always feel sorry for players who get injured early on in season or at new clubs #Ayew Must be so frustrating/gutting.

What the hell!? Ayew is out for 4 months! Looks like #WHUFC will have to sign another striker before the window shuts!

Ayew out for 4 months already. West Ham have had woeful luck. Cresswell long term injury too. Back to square one for them!
