West Ham fans sickened by transfer news: ‘There’ll be full-scale riots’, ‘This is not on’

West Ham fans are fuming at new reports claiming that Mads Hermansen is set to join their rivals Tottenham in a surprise swap deal with Antonin Kinsky.

West Ham signed Hermansen from Leicester last August for a reported fee of £20million, but he has failed to prove his worth so far with the East London outfit.

Hermansen struggled on his debut against Sunderland as he was immediately put on blast by Hammers fans, while he followed that up with another shaky showing against Chelsea.

Graham Potter stuck by him before eventually being sacked, but Nuno Espirito Santo has not handed a single minute of Premier League game-time to the Dane since his September arrival.

Alphonse Areola has shown some better form in between the sticks under Nuno recently, and a new report has stated that Hermansen could well move across the capital soon as Kinsky heads to the London Stadium.

West Ham and Tottenham set to swap Hermansen and Kinsky for second half of the season

Lazio were linked with a move for Hermansen in the lead up to the January, with his sole Hammers appearance under Nuno coming in a 2-1 win against QPR in the FA Cup earlier this month.

The Dane’s stock has certainly fallen since moving to East London, but his past form with Leicester means he likely remains an attractive prospect to clubs who may need a new stopper.

According to club insider ‘ExWHUEmployee’, via The West Ham Way on X, the Irons are in talks with rivals Spurs over a loan swap deal which would see Hermansen and Kinsky go opposite ways.

Kinsky has played 10 times for Tottenham since a January 2025 move from Slavia Prague, with just two of those appearances coming so far this season.

Wolves were linked to Kinsky ahead of the new year, but he now looks set to move to West Ham, with the nature of the deal leaving many of their supporters unhappy.

West Ham fans go mad at Hermansen, Kinsky swap deal – ‘Total embarrassment’

Relations between West Ham and Spurs sank to an all-time low over the summer as Mohammed Kudus made a highly controversial move to the North London club.

The surprise value of this latest deal between the two has left many West Ham fans annoyed, as they feel they have pulled the short straw and want to see Hermansen developed into a starter.

Taking to X to react to the claims, one fan said: “That’s going to be the final straw to full-scale riots at games. The pressure on the board is already too high.”

Another said: “(I) honestly think this is an awful deal. I don’t rate Kinsky at all. (I) think (despite) all the faults of Hermansen, he is just as bad.

While one added: “Spurs (are) getting the better deal. What a total embarrassment this club is becoming.”
