West Ham fans thrilled by ‘big’ Ruben Amorim update from ‘very reliable’ source
West Ham United fans are delighted by a new update on Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim potentially joining the club.
Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X on Tuesday (30 April) to reveal that Amorim, 39, is at the top of the Hammers’ list to replace the out-of-contract David Moyes this summer.
He also noted that ex-Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui, Lille manager Paulo Fonseca and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel are also on West Ham’s managerial shortlist.
Amorim had flown to London to hold talks with Hammers chiefs regarding a summer move to the London Stadium – a meeting the manager quickly admitted was a “mistake” as it was “disrespectful” to Sporting.
