Kieran Maguire salutes 'incredible' Moyes after official £137m West Ham reveal
David Moyes has done an “absolutely incredible” job at West Ham – and the club is reaping the financial rewards.
So says finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about how the Scottish boss’s impact on the Irons’ bank balance.
The Premier League club posted a £6.7million profit when it released its full accounts for the 2020-21 campaign on Tuesday (11 January).
West Ham received £137.4m in total from broadcast money and central revenue pots, per the league’s official figures.
Moyes steered the Hammers to their highest ever Premier League finish that season, with 6th place enough to earn them Europa League football.
Maguire broke down the Premier League’s figures and insisted that the moneymen at the London Stadium owe Moyes a huge debt.

“Some teams that finished below West Ham actually earned more money,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“The reason for that is that they were chosen for more live broadcast games. But their figure is still very impressive.
“I think it’s indicative of a progressive distribution model. It rewards success and clubs that are more popular.
“David Gold and David Sullivan should be incredibly grateful for the job that he’s done. The same goes for the recruitment team.
“He’s done an absolutely incredible job. It’s not a spectacular squad but he’s managed to get an awful lot out of them.”
Moyes’ side have won four games on the bounce in all competitions.
They are currently 4th in the league table ahead of their meeting with Leeds United on Sunday (16 January).
