Crystal Palace have ignited a move for West Ham attacker Diafra Sakho although the forward is reluctant on moving to the Hammers’ rivals, according to an insider.
Twitter account ExWHUemployee, who have established themselves as a reliable source of inside information surrounding the club, claim that the Eagles have moved to secure the signing of the 28-year-old with fellow top flight side Swansea City also circling over a potential swoop.

However it is said that Sakho, who has been out-of-favour this season with just two starts under his belt across all competitions, none of which have come in the league, is not certain on moving to Selhurst Park this month and is willing to bide his time to see what his options are come the end of the transfer window.
He has scored a total of 24 goals in 71 appearances for the Hammers since joining in 2014 but has not featured in any of their last six games.
Football Insider verdict
If West Ham are looking to offload some of their current squad this window then Sakho seems to be near the top of the list. At 28 he still has a lot to offer top flight clubs and he has a decent amount of Premier League experience under his belt, making him both a worthwhile signing for the buying clubs and a saleable asset for the Hammers. However, it appears as though he wants a say in where he ends up, and with Palace already having a host of talent up front, he may feel his playing time will be just as limited there. Swansea may be a better bet for first time action, but then does he really want to be embroiled in what appears to be a losing battle for top flight survival?
