West Ham make Jarrod Bowen transfer plan, his stance on completing big-money move revealed

West Ham have suffered a dismal start to the season after failing to win seven of their first eight games across all competitions so far.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side fell to a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on 4 October, and a Wolves win against Brighton would see them drop to the bottom of the table.

The decision to sack Graham Potter was made with hope that the new boss will be able to turn around their poor start and help them rise up the league.

There is also unrest behind the scenes, with West Ham fans protesting against the board, leading to a tense atmosphere in East London.

However, while they remain at the wrong end of the table, players are considering their futures at the London Stadium and questions have been asked of Jarrod Bowen‘s future.

Jarrod Bowen is unlikely to leave West Ham

Football Insider revealed on 3 October that Bowen could be tempted to quit West Ham if their struggles continue and a significant offer arrives.

However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, sources say the forward is happy at the London Stadium and has no plans to leave as things stand as he aims to help the club turn around their recent fortunes.

The Hammers, meanwhile, are not prepared to entertain any discussions about Bowen’s future and it would take a very big offer to turn their heads.

Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “West Ham won’t really want to lose him, he’s under long-term contracts at West Ham until 2030, so they will be demanding a big, big fee.

“For Bowen, the fans love him and it seems he is happy and settled at West Ham as well. So I don’t think he’d be rushing out the door.

“As things stand right now, there’s nothing happening with Bowen.

“West Ham wouldn’t even consider letting him go because he’s so influential for them as well.

“Right now, Bowen’s long-term future remains at West Ham until somebody tries to prise him away.”

However, Bowen is not the only West Ham star to be linked with a move away at this stage of the season, with Nuno expected to make significant changes.

James Ward-Prowse poised for London Stadium exit

One player who now looks destined to leave the Hammers is James Ward-Prowse, after he was left out of the squad completely for the draw at Everton.

Ward-Prowse’s West Ham spell is likely all but over following Nuno’s appointment, as the midfielder has no place in his plans for the future.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 3 October that West Ham plan to accept offers for Ward-Prowse in January as they pave the way fro his exit.

Plans are being put in place ahead of the January transfer window as the boss aims to tailor his squad to suit his needs and away from Potter’s ideas.

The boss previously worked with Ward-Prowse at Nottingham Forest last season, where he saw his season-long loan cut short and he was sent back to the London Stadium.
