West Ham make move to sign Fotis Ioannidis after scouts blown away – sources
West Ham have made early enquiries over a summer move for Panathinaikos striker Fotis Ioannidis, sources have told Football Insider.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the 24-year-old is high up the shortlist at the London Stadium as they search for a new striker.
West Ham scouts have made regular checks on Ioannidis this season and have been impressed with what they have seen from the Greece international.
The forward has notched 21 goals and eight assists in 40 games across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign – including five in six in the Europa League.
It is believed West Ham are keen to do a deal for him for around £17million.

The Irons have been looking for a new striker for the last two transfer windows and will make a renewed effort to land one in the off-season.
Michail Antonio has been the starting centre-forward for the Londoners this season despite his advancing years.
The 34-year-old has notched just four goals in 26 games this term – and back-up centre-forward Danny Ings has chipped in with just one goal.

Ioannidis, who has scored twice in 10 Greece caps, is under contract at Panathinaikos until June 2027.
He has made 139 appearances in four years with the Greek giants, scoring 38 goals.
In other news, Irons plan to terminate midfielder’s deal.
