West Ham manager: Chelsea have been fortunate in recent games
By Dominic Toner
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic believes that Chelsea have been fortunate in their recent results.
The Hammers host their London rivals Chelsea in the EFL Cup fourth-round on Wednesday and have already lost to the Blues once this season.
Antonio Conte’s side have been in great form in recent matches and recorded convincing victories against Manchester United, Leicester and Hull, without conceding a goal.
The Italian manager has decided to switch formations at Stamford Bridge and used his more favoured 3-4-3, which he enjoyed success with at Juventus.
West Ham boss Bilic suggests that Chelsea have been helped by a bit of luck since the change and that is why it is being praised so much by fans.

“Conte is well known to play that system. If you get a bit of luck to win a couple of games they worship the new system so that helped,” Bilic said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

Chelsea beat United 4-0 in the Premier League on Sunday, but defender David Luiz may have been lucky to avoid a red card in the first-half.
The centre-back lunged into Marouane Fellaini with the scoreline 2-0 and caught the midfielder high on the knee.
West Ham have also been in good form recently and recorded back-to-back 1-0 victories in the Premier League.
The Hammers defeated Sunderland and Crystal Palace but are now focused on revenge against Chelsea.
The Blues snatched a 2-1 victory on the opening day of the Premier League, with Diego Costa scoring a late winner in the 89th minute.
West Ham strongly believe that the Spaniard should have been given a red card after a high challenge on goalkeeper Adrian, when Costa was chasing down a back pass.
In other West Ham news, Bilic has given his verdict on Dimitri Payet’s astonishing chewing gum trick.
