West Ham ‘must accept £80m Mohammed Kudus bid – snap their hands off’
West Ham boss Graham Potter will be looking ahead to the summer transfer window after failing to turn form around at the London Stadium.
Mohammed Kudus is the club’s most valuable and highly-rated player but is yet to score under Potter.
It has been reported that Saudi Pro League clubs have enquired about the availability of Kudus ahead of the off-season.
The 24-year-old is under contract until June 2028 and has a release clause for Premier League clubs set at £80million – up to a reported £120million for Saudi sides.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has claimed just £80million could be enough to prise him away from West Ham.
West Ham would be ‘amazed’ to get £80m for Kudus, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness has claimed West Ham would be “amazed” if they get an £80million bid for the Ghana international.
The former Ajax star has managed just three goals across all competitions this season after hitting 18 last term.

Wyness insisted only Saudi Pro League clubs can offer a top fee for Kudus – who has fallen below expectations this term.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “You’ve got to look at this one in the context of West Ham’s spending.
“Since the Rice transfer, they’ve had the failed experiment with Lopetegui – they’ve spent money and it hasn’t worked.
“I think selling Kudus could be a pretty good deal – they’d be amazed to get the sort of fee Saudi can offer for him.
“I believe they’re talking about putting in a bid for £80-85million – I think West Ham should be snapping their hand off for that money.
“They’ve got to get the squad rebalanced for Graham Potter.
“I don’t think you’re going to get this valuation for Kudus elsewhere.”

West Ham eye up centre-back signing this summer
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed (4 April) that West Ham have identified a replacement for Konstantinos Mavropanos ahead of the summer window.
Udinese star Oumar Solet has been a long-term target for the Hammers after they missed out on the Frenchman last summer.
Solet’s contract is set to run until 2027 as things stand, but a big offer would allow the Italian side to make a significant profit on his sale.
