West Ham offered Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus – sources

West Ham United are being offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus, sources have told Football Insider.

Reus, 34, is leaving the German giants at the end of the season after 12 years and has gained interest from clubs in the MLS and Turkey.

It is believed that his services will also be offered to Premier League sides, including the Hammers.

David Moyes’ side are in the market for new forwards next season and are expected to lose at least one of their three top attacking stars – Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.

Sources have told Football Insider (27 February) that long-term Paqueta admirers Man City have already paved the way for a new swoop for the Brazilian this summer.

Reus penned a one-year extension to his Dortmund deal in April last year, meaning his current contract is set to expire at the end of the current season.

The 34-year-old graduated through Dortmund’s youth ranks before rejoining in 2012 from Borussia Monchengladbach.

He has since become a legend and captain for the club, and has racked up 167 goals and 128 assists across 415 appearances in all competitions.

Despite his age, he remains a key player for Dortmund scoring six goals and providing seven assists in all competitions this season.

While predominately an attacking midfielder, the German has played on both flanks for Dortmund this season and offers similar versatility to Paqueta and Kudus.
