West Ham one of three Premier League clubs who should sign Troy Parrott after Ireland heroics

Troy Parrott’s stock has rocketed to it’s highest-ever level after he banged in a hat-trick amid ecstatic scenes to send Ireland into the World Cup play-off round.

Ireland stunned Hungary 3-2, with Parrott netting all three goals to increase demand for the 23-year-old following his brace against Portugal.

Parrott is wanted by Premier League clubs, with the striker having also netted 13 goals in 14 appearances for AZ Alkmaar this season.

Three Premier League sides could do with a new striker in the January transfer window, so below are the club’s which should be lining up a move for Parrott.

Wolves

Rob Edwards has recently been appointed Wolves’ new manager, and the 42-year-old will be looking at bolstering his attack in the January window.

Wolves were interested in Parrott in the summer, but the Irishman remained in the Netherlands instead of returning to England where he was previously at Spurs.

The Old Gold have not been able to replace Jorgen Strand Larsen when the Norwegian is injured, nor do they have an alternative source to his goals, so Parrott could be a smart signing.

Their position though eight points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table may put off stars wanting to join the club.

West Ham

West Ham have taken strides under Nuno Espirito Santo to become a more competitive outfit lately, but the London club could still do with bolstering their attack.

With a heavy reliance currently on Jarrod Bowen and Callum Wilson, Parrott could ease the burden on the duo.

Parrott’s links to Spurs may not be most welcome at the London Stadium, but Santo needs to lower the age of an old squad alongside signing another goal scorer.

Everton

Everton‘s lack of goals from Beto and Thierno Barry have been well documented, with David Moyes sure to be eagerly active in the market for a new striker.

The Toffees have creators in the dynamic duo of Jack Grealish and Illiman Ndiaye, but the pair currently do not have anyone to put the ball in the back of the net.

Parrott would thrive off being a poacher in the box, and staying in-between the sticks which he could do at Everton.
