Confirmed line-ups: West Ham omit star man for Chelsea clash, three debutants start
By Alex Taylor
Dimitri Payet has been omitted from the West Ham team for their Premier League clash against Chelsea on Monday evening.
The Hammers star man is on the substitute’s bench for the Stamford Bridge encounter after playing no part in pre-season following his exertions at Euro 2016.
Slaven Bilic has handed West Ham league debuts to three summer signings, forward Andre Ayew, left-back Arthur Masuaku and midfielder Havard Nordtveit.
Forward Ayew starts the east London outfit’s first Premier League game of the season on the right-hand side of midfield after his £20million switch earlier this week.
Ayew is joined by new man Nordtveit in midfield as well as Mark Noble, Cheikhou Kouyaté and Enner Valencia on the other wing.

Andy Carroll also starts the game and comes back into the claret and blue attack after several injuries last season limited the English forward to just 18 starts in all competitions for his club.
Adrian will start in goal as usual for West Ham and his net will be protected by a defensive line that includes new left-back Arthur Masuaku from Olympiacos.
Masuaku cost Bilic £6million in the current transfer window and will be hoping to keep a clean sheet against a strong Chelsea side on his debut, he will be sorely tested by Willian tonight.
James Collins and Winston Reid make up the central core of the West Ham defensive while last seasons revelation Michail Antonio will play as a right-wing-back.
New signings Jonathan Calleri, Gökhan Töre, Sofiane Feghouli and Ashley Fletcher all still await their domestic debuts for their new club.
