‘West Ham plot Harvey Elliott switch as search for Kudus replacement intensifies’
West Ham United are plotting an audacious bid for Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott, according to reports.
The Hammers are looking to bolster their squad following the sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham Hotspur — which angered supporters, who expected more than £55million for their star forward.
Kudus had a subdued 2024/25 campaign but still leaves the London Stadium having notched 19 goals and 13 assists in 80 appearances across all competitions following his arrival from Ajax two years ago.
West Ham must now be clinical in the market if they’re to avoid a repeat of their disappointing 14th-place finish last season.

West Ham plotting ambitious Harvey Elliott bid
According to The Guardian (13 July), West Ham are lining up an ‘ambitious’ bid for Liverpool star Harvey Elliott.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant summer, notching five goals in six appearances to help England lift the U-21 Euros.

However, Elliott has cut a peripheral figure at Liverpool. Just last season, the youngster — who can play in midfield and on the wing — started just six games across all competitions, with 22 of his 28 outings coming from the bench.
But even on limited minutes — just 475 in the Premier League — Elliott was productive, hitting five goals and three assists.
It’s understood West Ham are yet to submit a bid to Liverpool but are preparing to do so and are confident of getting a deal done, despite competition from RB Leipzig for Elliott’s signature.
Elliott has also been linked to fellow Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.

Tyler Morton: West Ham eyeing double Liverpool deal
In addition to Elliott, the Guardian report that West Ham also want to bring Tyler Morton from Anfield to the London Stadium.
Morton featured alongside Elliott at the U-21 Euros this summer and is highly regarded on the red half of Merseyside.
However, at 22 years old, the midfielder has still only played 14 senior games for Liverpool, with the majority of his football so far coming in the Championship on loan at Blackburn Rovers and Hull City.
Morton is likely available at a favourable price, giving West Ham a promising youngster to blood and develop, while adding depth to Graham Potter’s midfield.
