West Ham plot swoop for Everton star Amadou Onana with 28-year-old set to leave – sources
West Ham are once again keen on Everton midfielder Amadou Onana ahead of the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Onana, 22, came close to joining the Irons in the summer of 2022 before he moved to Goodison Park.
West Ham were favourites to land Onana at one stage but the move collapsed and he instead sealed a move to Merseyside.
But with Everton now in significant financial trouble after two breaches of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Regulations (PSR), David Moyes’ side are again interested in landing the Belgium international.
The London club will be in the market for a new centre-midfielder in the summer window.
Kalvin Phillips is on loan at the London Stadium but is not expected to get a permanent move to West Ham after a poor start to life at the club.

Onana is one of the most valuable assets at Everton and has a contract with the club running until June 2027.
He has made 29 appearances across all competitions for the Merseysiders, starting in 25 of those outings.
Everton paid a reported fee of just over £33million to land Onana two years ago.
He has amassed 11 caps for Belgium and played for the Red Devils at the World Cup in Qatar.

West Ham sit seventh in the Premier League table with nine games left to play in the 2023-24 campaign.
The Irons will face Bayer Leverkusen across two legs in the Europa League quarter-finals next month.
