West Ham ready Eddie Nketiah move after he jets out – sources
Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is on West Ham’s striker shortlist for this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Irons are considering a move for the 25-year-old in this window.
Nketiah is expected to depart Emirates Stadium this summer as he is searching for more regular playing time, especially since Arsenal are in the market for a striker.
But his £25-30million price tag could be too high for the French outfit, especially since they just signed Mason Greenwood from Man United.
The sale of Nketiah would be seen as pure profit for the Gunners because he is a homegrown player, which would benefit Arsenal with their PSR.
Arsenal could use Eddie Nketiah’s sale to bolster their squad
Nketiah’s expected departure from Arsenal is something that will be done to raise funds for Arteta to strengthen his squad this summer.
The Gunners are attempting to close the gap between themselves and Man City next season in a bid to win the Premier League.
Last season Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus were preferred over Nketiah, who started just 13 times for his boyhood club.

Even though the Englishman is on West Ham’s shortlist, sources state that Nketiah isn’t too high up on that.
Football Insider revealed that Alexander Sorloth and Jhon Duran are the main targets for the Irons this summer.
