West Ham ready two new signings as Fabricio Bruno terms agreed – sources
West Ham have agreed personal terms with Flamengo centre-back Fabricio Bruno ahead of a summer transfer move, sources have told Football Insider.
Talks with the Brazilian outfit have now reached an advanced stage, with a fee being discussed between the two clubs.
Sources say the Hammers are also working on signing another central defender this summer, which will pave the way for current options to leave the club.
Bruno, 28, has made 22 appearances for his club so far this year and also played 90 minutes on his international debut for Brazil, when they faced England at Wembley.
West Ham agree terms in Fabricio Bruno deal
Bruno extended his contract with Flamengo in January, having initially joined in 2022, with his new deal running until December 2028.
However, he is now likely to move on after agreeing personal terms with West Ham.
The defender’s agent, Roc Nation Sports, also looks after Lucas Paqueta and youngster Lewis Orford, with the club connection already in place.
A new centre-back has emerged as a priority for the Hammers in this transfer window after the current crop of defenders conceded 74 goals in the Premier League – an average of 1.9 per game.
Former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie told Football Insider that Julen Lopetegui should sell multiple defenders as soon as he arrives at the club, with this deal opening up that possibility.
The club’s technical director, Tim Steidten, recently travelled to Brazil on a scouting mission.

The Hammers are keen to push through a deal early in the window after the inconsistent performances of both Kurt Zouma and Konstantinos Mavropanos this season, while Nayef Aguerd has struggled with injury issues.
In other news, Paqueta has agreed personal terms with Man City.
