Kieran Maguire reveals how West Ham will respond to £60m ultimatum
West Ham will be pleased that they have three years to get their house in order in response to the Premier League’s ultimatum on gambling sponsorship.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Hammers’ partnership with online bookmaker Betway.

The deal, which is worth a reported £60million over its lifespan, runs until the end of the 2024-25 season.
The Times reported on Tuesday (19 July) that Premier League sides have agreed to a ban on front-of-shirt sponsors.
The moratorium, which does not cover sleeve sponsors, will be brought in after a three-year adjustment period.
Maguire claims that, while the Irons be unhappy they are being forced to give up their deal with Betway, they will also be relieved that they have ample time to find a new sponsor.
“It will give West Ham a degree of flexibility to start to shop around,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“They have got a long-term relationship with Betway that they consider to be both successful and lucrative.
“If it is going to be replaced, they won’t want to be strong-armed by a decision that is brought in immediately.
“They won’t be necessarily happy with the new rules but it could have been worse if it had been brought in for this season.”

West Ham face Luton Town and Lens in their final two friendlies before the start of 2022-23.
David Moyes’s side get their Premier League campaign underway at home to Man City next Sunday (7 August).
