West Ham set for full takeover with ‘discussions already happening’ – Keith Wyness

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed West Ham are likely to be bought out in full by a new investor in the near future.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – insisted he wouldn’t be surprised if “discussions are already happening” about a new ownership team coming in at the London Stadium.

Wyness already told Football Insider last week (27 September) that the West Ham hierarchy are actively pursuing new investment.

The club is presently owned by four major investors – Daniel Kretinsky, David Sullivan, the Gold Family and Albert ‘Tripp’ Smith.

West Ham won the Europa Conference League in 2023 under David Moyes but finished ninth last term and are now struggling under new boss Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham could be bought by ‘completely new’ investors, says Wyness

Wyness told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “I think we’re looking at a completely new ownership team coming in at West Ham.

“Someone is likely come in and buy out all the existing shareholders.

“I think that deal is the next one off the rank at the London Stadium.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if those sort of discussions are already happening.”

Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky bought a 27% stake at the London Stadium in 2021 and has the option to take full control – but has not yet activated it.

Meanwhile, Irons joint-chair Vanessa Gold announced in October 2023 that she would consider selling a proportion of her family’s share in the club.

In other news, Irons star caught out on social media after confession.
