West Ham tipped to complete ‘£25m+’ Broja deal after source update – pundit

Danny Mills has claimed West Ham could sign Armando Broja for just “£25million”.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender suggested Broja would get even better if he was to complete a move to West Ham.

This site broke the news on Monday (24 January) of the Irons’ interest in the Chelsea striker who is currently on loan at Southampton.

West Ham

A West Ham source updated today (27 January) to reveal the club have narrowed the striker search to Broja and Blackburn Rovers’ Ben Brereton Diaz.

“Whether he immediately comes into the side or goes alongside Antonio for this season, he’s certainly a player with quality,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“He can finish, that is for sure. He’s got a bit of pace too. Under the tutelage of David Moyes and playing with better players he would certainly improve again from where he is at the moment.

“You don’t come through Chelsea if you’ve not got the ability in the first place so he’s obviously decent already. He’s got some experience now too.

“If West Ham are prepared to pay that and take him then I think that would be a very good move from him.

“This is what Chelsea do they throw these good young players out on loan, they improve and their fee goes through the roof.

“He’s not likely to make the Chelsea team so they’ll sell him for £25million with a few add-ons and a buy-back clause and they may stand to make £30million profit on a player.”

Broja has scored five goals in 10 Premier League starts for Southampton this term.

The 20-year-old signed a new five-year deal with Chelsea before heading out to St. Mary’s in the summer.

In other news, two West Ham stars could quit this summer after a ‘really surprising’ claim.
